Rules and Regulations
CODE OF CONDUCT
- You are required to have a PrDP Driver’s License in order to be a driver or a Roadie.
- To be punctual for the start of your shift and to keep within the break times allocated. This is your schedule adherence
- All drivers & roadies are to arrive 30 minutes before start of shift.
- To notify your Manager of your absence at least 2 hours before your shift starts.
- To notify your Manager if you are running late and an estimated time of arrival.
- Present a medical certificate if you are sick for 2 or more consecutive days/nights or a Friday and Saturday, or any day before or after a public holiday.
- All annual leave must be applied for in advance. No leave will be granted from 15 Oct – 15 Jan each year.
- Persistent poor timekeeping will lead to disciplinary action being taken against the employee. Refer to Disciplinary Guidelines.
- To give regular attendance at work and to minimise absenteeism.
- To be courteous, helpful and polite to all those with whom you have contact.
- To avoid loitering or gathering or having breaks in unallocated areas. Ensure that breaks are taken in the allocated areas.
- To keep noise levels down to a minimum.
- To be respectful of other staff & clients by ensuring that personal, political, cultural and religious views and beliefs are not imposed onto others. Refer to Disciplinary Guidelines.
- To maintain a professional dress code and not in a manner that is offensive to others. Drivers must wear blue jeans, black smart shoes, Road Trip Golf shirts, Road Trip puffer Jacket and Road Trip badge must always be displayed
- All employees are to sign in, clock in & log on to your device at the start of every shift.
- All Drivers & Roadies must clock out & take a breathalyser test before and after every shift.
- To remain professional at all times in all our interactions, i.e. both our internal and external customers.
- Employees are not allowed to give out or use the telephone, fax machine, photocopier, printer for personal use.
- To devote all your time and attention, whilst at Roadtrip, to your roles and responsibilities and ensure that all its property including confidential information, records, equipment, information technology, etc.; is kept safe and used correctly.
- To comply with all the Company’s rules and regulations.
- Falsifying or providing misleading information on any official document will result in disciplinary action. Refer to Disciplinary Guidelines.
- Employees may not possess, sell or use intoxicants while on Roadtrip premises. These intoxicants include alcohol, stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens and other drugs. Refer to Disciplinary Guidelines.
- An employee may not report to work intoxicated. Refer to Disciplinary Guidelines.
- Disciplinary action will be taken if any intoxicants are abused.
- Disciplinary action will be taken if this test is positive. Refer to Disciplinary Guidelines.
- Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.
- No eating or drinking is permitted in the Road Trip or client vehicles. Please use designated rest areas.
- Always maintain a professional image, by ensuring that you are well presented and maintain hygiene factors.
- Employees are prohibited from uploading or downloading any information (including games, music, etc.) from the Road Trip devices.
- Pornography or any such material is not permitted to be viewed, downloaded, uploaded or communicated using Road Trip’s facilities.
- No Road Trip vehicle may be used by any employee, unless authorised by a Manager to do so.
- No disks or CDs are allowed in the Contact Centre, without the permission of the Contact Centre Manager.
- Should a problem arise with a device or vehicle, employees are to report this to the Driver Manager immediately.
- Drivers are prohibited from adding or removing applications or anything else from the devices.
- Under no circumstances may any device be taken home.
